Apoptozole
Heat Shock Protein 70/HSP70 Inhibitor
CAS Number: 1054543-47-3
Molecular Formula: C33H25F6N3O3
Molecular Weight: 625.57 g/mol
Research Areas: Cancer Research, Heat Shock, Apoptosis
Alternative Names: Apoptosis Activator VII, 4-((2-(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-4,5-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl)benzamide
Biological Description
Apoptozole binds within Hsp70 nucleotide binding domain. It inhibits Hsp70 ATPase turnover rate. It triggers apoptosis in P19 embryonic carcinoma and A549 lung cancer cultures. The selectivity for Hsp70 is uncertain.
