Get Ready for a Partial Solar Eclipse – Oct. 23rd, 2014
You will not want to miss the sunset on Thursday October 23rd. Residents across North America will be able to enjoy a crescent-shaped sunset due to a partial eclipse of the sun.
A partial eclipse of the sun occurs when the moon passes in front of the sun but does not fully cover it, leaving a section exposed.
Coverage of the sun will range from 12% in Florida to almost 70% coverage in Alaska. Make sure that you view the eclipse behind the safety of a solar filter.
