Biological Description

Alternative Names GFP Antibody, Green fluorescent protein Antibody
Research Areas Fluorescent Proteins, Tags and Cell Markers
Swiss Prot P42212
Scientific Background Our Anti-Jellyfish GFP Recombinant Monoclonal antibody offers high specificity and affinity for green fluorescent protein (GFP), a 27 kDa protein originally derived from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria (1). GFP fluoresces green when exposed to UV or blue light, making it a widely used marker in live-cell imaging, gene expression studies, and protein localization assays (2). Its recombinant nature ensures lot-to-lot consistency, which reduces experimental variability and improves reproducibility across lots (3).
