Scientific Background A selective serotonin 5-HT2A receptor antagonist (IC50 = 6.3 nM) (1). Also exhibits significant selectivity for the human 5-HT1Dα receptor (2). Was shown to be effective for the treatment of hypertension following coronary artery surgery (3). It has been used to disrupt the hallucinogenic effects of psilocybin and to explore cognitive effects of the 5-HT2A receptor (4).
