Scientific Background | Picropodophyllotoxin is an inhibitor of insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R). Specifically, it inhibits IGF1R autophosphorylation. It has also been seen to increases the fraction of cells in the G2/M phase, reduce pAKT and pERK1/2, and upregulates apoptosis. Picropodophyllotoxin exhibits antiproliferative effects in multiple cancer cell lines. |
