Nitration

What is Nitration?

Protein tyrosine nitration is a post-translational modification which significantly alters the physicochemical properties of tyrosine. It occurs under the action of a nitrating agent, and has been shown to affect protein function and immunogenicity. Nitrated proteins have a wide range of cellular functions, including transcription and translation, signaling and regulation, trafficking and transport, structure and metabolism.

Nitration research requires a great diversity of life science products. We are dedicated to developing cutting edge research products to aid in the study of nitration, including monoclonal antibodies, polyclonal antibodies, antibody conjugates, proteins, immunoassays, and small molecule inhibitors.
